Continental Disc Corporation Well Activation and Safety Protection Valve - Type 1 & Type A

Continental Disc Corporation (CDC) Well Activation and Safety Protection Valve uses rupture disc technology to release pressure to activate tools in the drilling hole or to protect downhole drill components from overpressure failure.

The Well Activation and Safety Protection Valve can replace shear pins and other moving devices in most applications, saves valuable time and manpower at the well drilling site. Avialable in 2 configurations; The Type A Protection Valve is intended to prevent dangerous pressure spikes from the annulus and Type I protects drill pipes, casings & downhole tools from overpressure within the tubing or drill string.
CDC Well Activation and Safety Protection Valve is useful in several applications such as during drilling, cementing, perforating, completion and production including triggering the release of fishing grapples, releasable spears and activating controls in the bottom hole assembly (BHA). Standard rupture disc material is Inconel® 600 (other materials available upon request), 316 SS Holder Body Inlet & Outlet and Viton O Ring.
