Successful Testing of EST Group 6" Griptight Plug at Client's Fabrication Workshop

PNR Malaysia, EST Asia and EST Group USA successfully carried out pipe testing at a major oil and gas fabrication facility recently. EST 6" Griptight test plug was used to pressure test a 6" inch schedule 40 pipe. Griptight proved to be a reliable and safe method for high pressure pipe testing. It sealed perfectly without any sign of slippage. The pressure gauge reading remained constant throught the test period.

Unlike conventional pipe testing which involves welding a blind flange to the pipe, Griptight are easy to install and save fabricators considerable amount of valuable time when there are huge numbers of pipe to be tested. Griptight is available from size 1" to 24" (23.6mm to 603.0mm and larger sizes through 42" (1066.0mm) with operating pressure up to 13900 PSI (960 bar). For smaller sizes, SQ2 Models, 0.47" to 0.93"(11.9mm to 23.6mm) are available for pressure up to 6500PSI (446 bar).
